Well when talking in terms of how different races act, all races have scum just as all races have good natured, honest, hard working people. There is no difference in that aspect and since all races basically act the same we are on the position on the totem pole when it comes to behavior.

As far as illegals living here, I think they should do it legally and have background checks done and there probably shouldn't be so much red tape for the ones who pass the background checks to go through. I know many people of many races, there are bad apples everywhere not just in one...

They are looked at as the lowest of the low by most on the other side, the way they are talked about is pretty disgusting. It takes thousands of dollars and along time to get in here the legal way, our system is screwed and there's tons of red tape to go through, they come here the only way they can and I don't blame any of them. The ones that receive any benefits are few and far between, its a hassle to get a lot of benefits if you were born here, let alone someone without a social security number. Most are hard working and keep to their self, definitely not stealing any jobs around here, hell sending them out of here would hurt us more than ever helping us really. People should be lucky they were born here, instead of sitting back and telling someone else to come in the 'right way', when they didn't do a thing to earn being here either...just lucky genetics.

From what I understand, you are a young guy and you speak with quite a bit of certainty about the immigration issue. My question is, what experience with illegal or legal immigrants do you have to make your statements? I've not lived in Scott County in 20 years but is there a population of Hispanics in the area? I think that if some of us lived in the states on the Mexican border our opinions may be different.

Drive around some of our local construction sites and take a poll of the workers.
Yes a good number are born in the USA, but a significant number are not (Holiday Inn, CVS, et. al.)
They were the ones working in the blazing heat and the bad weather.
I know of locals that refused to even apply with the construction companies - the work is too hard.
    You'll shoot your eye out.

Just wondering. I don't remember many Hispanics growing up and wondered if things had changed in far SWVA. I do know that there is a lot of Hispanics in the Galax and Grayson County area and it has been mentioned in the news at times about gang activity specific to Hispanics.

Even North Carolina has a very heavy hispanic population, and growing.

Yea, Grayson borders North Carolina and there are quite a few Christmas tree farms in that area.
